Geno Pierce
Geno
Pierce, president and owner of the Performance Course, Inc.,
has over 13 years of industry experience consulting with,
training, and developing athletes. From his early days as
a strength and conditioning professional, he has helped thousands
of individuals and teams reach higher levels in their athletic
performance. Pierce has honed his skills in program design,
training protocols, and coaching techniques to help school
districts across the state develop athletes and teams into
district and state champions. A number of his former athletes
have gone on to play at both the collegiate and professional
levels.
Prior to developing the Performance Course, Pierce directed
and operated a regional company devoted to improving the athletic
performance of athletes. He has worked with the Allen Independent
School District (AISD) for over seven years. In addition,
Pierce works internally with athletes of other high profile
school districts in the Dallas Metroplex such as the Highland
Park and Carroll Independent School Districts giving him keen
insight into the needs of athletes and coaches. Having experience
with a number of diverse coaching philosophies and thousands
of athletes enables him to bridge the gaps between the individual
coach philosophy and the development of the athletes.
His experience includes extensive knowledge in program design,
periodization methods, training protocols, and testing and
evaluation. Pierce has mentored and developed a number of
strength and conditioning professionals through his work and
is one of the most competent and experienced professionals
in prepubescent and adolescent training in the country.
In 1998, Pierce spearheaded the first youth program of its
kind for elementary kids in the state of Texas within the
AISD. He was also responsible for developing before and after
school programs as well as a course fitness camp for AISD
employees.
Pierce is an active member of The National Strength and Conditioning
Association and is Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
He has also been a keynote speaker on the topic of strength
and conditioning at various industry events. Pierce resides
in Allen with his wife, Jamie, and his sons Oliver and Payton.
He serves on various boards for the Allen Sports Association
and is involved with various community groups and charitable
causes in Allen. He was recognized as the 2002 Allen Sports
Association Volunteer of the Year.
He has a degree in Psychology from Missouri Southern State
