Principles
The Performance Course is based on having
great character. The six characteristic traits within and
around the star are what it takes to become a winner. The
star is a symbol of belief and is the most important character
trait. In the long run, success will only be for those who
live by these traits on a daily basis.
Character is Destiny

Belief
If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but think you can't, it's almost a cinch
you won't.
If you think you will lose, you're lost.
For out in the world we find...
Success begins with a fellows will, it is all in the state
of mind.
If you think you are out classed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win
the prize.
Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man,
but sooner or later, the man who wins is the man who thinks
he can.
In the heart of every winner lies a strong
belief. THe number one reason most people fail is because
they quit believing. Belief gets us started and belief keeps
us going. Never doubt yourself. NOW IS THE TIME
to believe in yourself, your coaches, and your teammates.
Leadership
Leaders are those who set the examples
for others. They serve so that the way may be easier for their
teammates. Effort, sacrifice, humility, vision, and discipline
are what leaders are made of.
Every successful group, organization, or
team have key tools that help them achieve goals. Leadership
is teh most important of these. Leaders are those who have
a vision and put the group's interest before themselves. Leaders
see the big picture and understand that they must carry the
burden for others. NOW IS THE TIME to challenge
yourself to be a leader.
Attitude
A winner's edge is not in a gift of birth,
a high IQ or in talent. The winner's edge is all in the attitude,
not aptitude. Attitude is the criteria for success.

you are willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish your
dreams and goals.
Consistency
Press on! Nothing in the world can take
the place of persistence. Talent will not. Nothing is more
common that unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not.
Unrewarded genious is almost a proverb. Education will not.
The world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination
alone are omnipotent.

Effort

themselves further and further, beyond all limits. Only when
these limits are shattered can the unattainable be reached.
