Derrick Catlett

Derrick is our Coordinator for the McKinney Independent School District and assists in the consulting and programming operations of Performance Course. Derrick previously worked as an assistant strength coach at Iowa State University where he worked with the football team in all aspects of speed, agility, strength, conditioning, mobility and nutrition. Derrick was Mentored by Yancy McKnight CSCS as a post graduate earning his Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Certification (CSCCA). Prior to his work at Iowa State Derrick also served as an assistant at Colorado State University implementing strength and conditioning programs for 14 varsity men’s and women’s sports.

As a resident of McKinney Texas, Derrick was a three year letter winner at tight end and long snapper for Iowa State. Derrick was honored as a 2x All Big 12 Academic recipient while earning his bachelors of science degree in Kinesiology and Health. Along with his CSCC he is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and by USA Weightlifting as a Level 1 Club Coach (USAW).
