Mac Acuña

Mac directs all Performance Course programs in the Austin and San Antonio area. He is in his second stint with the company: he first joined the staff in 2006, spent a decade in high school and college strength and conditioning, worked several PC summers along the way, and came back full time in 2018.
Mac began his career as a football strength and conditioning assistant at Texas A&M University-Commerce before his first run with Performance Course. He then served as Director of Strength and Conditioning at Northwest High School and went on to the University of Texas, where he worked under Yancy McKnight in the Longhorn football strength and conditioning program.
Mac played football at Texas A&M University-Commerce and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Studies. He also holds a master's degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia University. He lives in the Austin area with his wife Erica and their three kids, Chico (15), Mo (13), and Monsi (10).
Mac is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Level One Sports Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW-1), and a Level One Coach through Precision Nutrition (Pn-1).
